How to commision
Having a piece of bespoke jewellery made for you is an exciting and rewarding process which starts with an informal chat either over the phone, by email or by visiting Madeline's shop in Whitstable.
Commissions come in all shapes and sizes, from the traditional engagement ring to some pretty unusual requests. Madeline likes to take on unusual jobs such as creating a mans ring, set with the milk teeth of his children and a silver shell necklace that worked as a tracking devise for a lady who had dementia but liked to go on long walks by herself !
Some people have a very clear vision of what they want made and provide a drawing. It is then pretty straight forward to offer a quotation before work is undertaken.
More often a client may wish to discuss options, including budget, metal types, stones, colours etc and sketches can be provided to illustrate the possibilities.
